Ezra 5:5

SV	Doch het oog huns Gods was over de oudsten der Joden, dat zij hun niet beletten, totdat de zaak aan Darius kwam, en zij alsdan daarover een brief wederbrachten.
WLC	וְעֵ֣ין אֱלָהֲהֹ֗ם הֲוָת֙ עַל־שָׂבֵ֣י יְהוּדָיֵ֔א וְלָא־בַטִּ֣לוּ הִמֹּ֔ו עַד־טַעְמָ֖א לְדָרְיָ֣וֶשׁ יְהָ֑ךְ וֶאֱדַ֛יִן יְתִיב֥וּן נִשְׁתְּוָנָ֖א עַל־דְּנָֽה׃ פ
Trans.	wə‘ên ’ĕlâăhōm hăwāṯ ‘al-śāḇê yəhûḏāyē’ wəlā’-ḇaṭṭilû himmwō ‘aḏ-ṭ^a‘əmā’ ləḏārəyāweš yəhāḵə we’ĕḏayin yəṯîḇûn nišətəwānā’ ‘al-dənâ:

AC	ה ועין אלההם הות על שבי יהודיא ולא בטלו המו עד טעמא לדריוש יהך ואדין יתיבון נשתונא על דנה {פ}
ASV	But the eye of their God was upon the elders of the Jews, and they did not make them cease, till the matter should come to Darius, and then answer should be returned by letter concerning it.
BE	But the eye of their God was on the chiefs of the Jews, and they did not make them give up working till the question had been put before Darius and an answer had come by letter about it.

Sch	Aber das Auge ihres Gottes war auf die Ältesten der Juden gerichtet, so daß ihnen nicht gewehrt wurde, bis die Sache Darius vorgelegt und ein Brief mit seiner Antwort zurückgekommen wäre.
